Polyethylene fusion
We're moving into a a more in-depth looks at tools and materials starting with Plastic pipes. The Pipe Trades Handbook assignments provided an overview and introduced some of the language and related techniques of the trade. Now we start digging in and working with more hands on. We'll work with the main types of plastic used in the piping trades, ABS, PVC and various types of Polyethylene pipe. We will be learning the various connection methods including solvent welding, insert connections, crimp connections, butt fusion and plastic welding.
